In 2024, a group of likeminded historical re-enactors in Alberta decided to create the AHRA for the purposes of supporting historical  re-enactment within the province.  Our goal is to create public awareness of historical reenactment and to promote the hobby within the community of reenactors and the general public.   We also can offer groups support in terms of organization, structure, society applications, charitable status and event management.   We will be establishing a re-enactor's market annually to support the community and all those groups and sites that host events where re-enactors present their living history exhibitions.  The AHRA is a registered non-profit society in Alberta.
